Esthetician Requirements by State

Since every U.S state requires an esthetician license, it is important for all beauticians to have one. These licenses are mandatory to protect the public interest since they relate to the diagnosis and treatments process.

It requires all estheticians to be well-versed in skin histology before they can get a working license. Everyone, including Salon Booths and Private Salons, have to fulfill these requirements to start operating.

ALABAMA

  • Minimum 16 years old with 10th-grade education or above
  • 1,000 clock hours or 2,000 hours under the supervision of a licensed esthetician.
  • 1 year in practice
