Copyright and DMCA Policy

Salon Renter LLC respects the intellectual property of others and expects people who use Salon Renter to do the same. This page explains how to send a copyright notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. 512.

Designated copyright agent

Send notices of claimed infringement to:

Salon Renter LLC
1323 SE 17th St. PMB 98194
Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316
dmca@salonrenter.com

Put "DMCA" in the subject line so the notice is not missed.

What a notice must include

A complete notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) includes all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list.
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient for us to find it (the listing URL is enough).
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

We may ignore a notice that does not include these items. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make the sender liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).

What we do with a complete notice

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material and, when we can, tell the person who posted it. We may also send them a copy of the notice.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. A counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. 512(g) must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, and the URL where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Salon Renter may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person files a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright, in appropriate circumstances.

Listings you post
